ACCF are able to facilitate meetings between African Heritage voluntary and community groups and other partners where there are issues of shared concern e.g. consultation with voluntary and community groups on behalf of Leicester City Council’s Libraries Service, being commissioned to arrange and run a consultation event for the Home Office’s Stop and Search national consultation exercise.
We work in partnership with other organisations and partners to offer services or activities of benefit to the community e.g. we provide space subject to operational requirements to offer free and low cost legal advice through a co-operative with associated Community Interest Company, run information sessions in conjunction with a local college and workshops with a local funder.
We also provide practical support to African Heritage community groups to help them run their own events by providing templates and model documents such as event schedules, monitoring and evaluation forms, signing in sheets etc.
